Hi. I have an English language Joomla as that is my primary language. I am creating a Dutch language site. I have installed Jevents and the Dutch translation of Jevents in Joomla 2.5. However, I cannot find anywhere how to turn on the Dutch translation for Jevents so that I can set up the calenders properly. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Code: Select all
Joomla : 2.5.9
component_com_jevents : 3.0.9
component_com_jce : 2.3.2.4
module_mod_jevents_cal : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_filter : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_latest : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_legend : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_switchview : 3.0.9
plugin_finder_jevents : 3.0.9
plugin_search_eventsearch : 3.0.9

Hi aardsuz,
did you first install Joomla! Dutch language file? This is required for our translation system to work.

after that just making the frontend (or backend) show into Dutch should work.

Thank you for your reply.

I was able to get the proper translations into the calendar by loading up the com_jevents.ini manually with FTP.

However, I am stuck on the translations with the Latest Events module. I have coded the CSS as follows in the module:

${startDate(\'%a, %d %b, %H:%M\)}[!a: - ${endDate(\'G:i\)}]<br />${title}

This is showing the event in the desired format. However, the day of the week and month are still showing in English.
Can you please tell me where I can change the translation for the Latest Events module? I have spent hours on this and cannot find it.

Here is my site: http://www.etoballpark.com/etoballpark.com/

Many thanks!!

Hello,

You first need to download and install Joomlas! Dutch language file and then set that to default. Then install the JEvents dutch language pack all via the Joomla! installer.

That should then resolve your issues.

Hi. Thanks for your response.

I had already installed the Dutch language (via Joomla 2.5).
I just changed the default language to Dutch and that resolved the problem.

Thanks for your outstanding support! :)
