Encoding problem for turkish characters  Topic is solved

1. Update all JEvents add on's first, via the Joomla! Updater
2. Copy and Paste the JEvents Support Information from the JEvents Control Panel.
3. If you get a 500 error OR white page, enable Maximum Error Reporting in Joomla! Global Config and visit the page again, this should give you a more detailed error and help us provide a prompt response.

First of all, thank you for this great tool.

I am having an issue with turkish characters like İ, ı, ğ and ş. I double and triple checked my database tables and assured that they are set as utf_8_general_ci. I also tried other collation options like utf 8 general, utf 8 unicode and utf 8 turkish.

Is there anything else that I can try to fix it?

Are these problems in the JEvents translation or in the event descriptions?

Make sure that the web page is delivered to the browser as UTF-8 too.

After more testing, I can confirm that above mentioned issue only happens in Joomla 3.

I quit development on Joomla 3 and went back to Joomla 2.5. The component is working great
