We are using :

Code: Select all
Joomla : 2.5.9
component_com_jevents : 2.2.8
module_mod_jevents_cal : 2.2.8
module_mod_jevents_latest : 2.2.5
layout_extplus : 2.5.7
layout_iconic : 2.5.6
plugin_editors_jce : 2.0.20
plugin_system_jcemediabox : 1.1.0

You can see the events in the back end. They appear as links on the front end, but when you click on an event link, nothing appears. Here is an example:

https://www.sas.rutgers.edu/cms/cbn2/se ... 13/04/17/-

if you click on any event you won't see anything.

An error does appear if you click the "Darwin Day" event here:

https://www.sas.rutgers.edu/cms/cbn2/se ... 13/04/17/-

JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 53

Also, in the back end, when I change "Hide Past Events" to No I get this error:

JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 47

I can, however, click on the events to view the details (back-end only).

Update:
The error 'JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 47' disappears in the back end when I set a new creator for the past events.

The error 'JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 53' disappears in the front end when I set a new creator for the "Darwin Day" event - however, the event details still do not appear.

Hello,

It sounds like you have had events created and then went a head and deleted the user from your site whilst the events still existed?

Is this possible?

Regards
Tony

Yes, I believe that is what happened.

We reassigned all the events to new users - but we still cannot see individual event details in the front end.

Thanks,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,
it seems that around line 127 of your custom.css file you have this rule:
Code: Select all
div.ev_navigation, #jevents_body, #jevents_header, .ev_table {
  height: 40px;
}

and it's affecting Events display. You should get rid of it for the event info to appear.

I have a similar problem. I can view my event in the front end (off the webpage) BUT when I go into edit the event, I cannot. The text box where you type event info, is gray and I am unable to update anything. Ideas?

Hello,

Sounds like an editor / JS Crash issue.

Are you really using JEvents 1.5.3? if so upgrade to 1.5.6 then upgrade to 2.2.8 and enable the Joomla! Mootools Upgrade Plugin.

We have a site with dozens of events that were "orphaned" when we deleted the user accounts of the people who created the events.

Is there any way to change the Event Creator for these events in bulk, or can it only be done one event at a time?

Hello,

You can do it via phpmyadmin but that's the only way i'm afraid. Or create a new user and edit their userid in phpmyadmin to the old users? that should work also.
