Error in received URL from email event to a friend  Topic is solved

Forum rules
When requesting support please follow these steps:

1. Update all JEvents add on's first, via the Joomla! Updater
2. Copy and Paste the JEvents Support Information from the JEvents Control Panel.
3. If you get a 500 error OR white page, enable Maximum Error Reporting in Joomla! Global Config and visit the page again, this should give you a more detailed error and help us provide a prompt response.

Hi there,

The Version information for Support Forum says:
Code: Select all
Joomla : 2.5.7
component_com_jevents : 2.2.7


When I want to send an event to a friend via the email-button, the mail sent contains an invalid URL.
The mainsite is for example:
http://www.test.tst/site1/
The link to the event in the sent email has a duplicated
site1/
What should be http://www.test.tst/site1/eventorsomething/
is now:
http://www.test.tst/site1/site1/evenorsomething/
which obviously results in an error 404.

I don't know if it matters, but I also installed the
plugin K2 v2.5.7

I tried to change the language back into English instead
of Dutch, this has no effect.
The mailing a friend option of other content on the site
works well. (K2 also uses components/com_mailto/)

Hello,

No plugins installed.
I tried the new sef url system and the old one,
this does not fix it...

Can you test it with SEF disabled ?

Hello,

The url changes to something different, but the duplicate directory name remains in the url.

To make sure it's not a setting I changed, I made a clean install of Joomla v2.5.7 and Jevents v2.2.7.
The problem still occurs.
