JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

Getting 406 Unacceptable Error when Trying to Save

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.
Forum rules
Please include as much detail in any test or bug reports for JEvents 1.5 as possible.

First of all, check if you are running the latest available version of Joomla! and JEvents. Posts for issues, where both systems are not updated, will be ignored.

I just installed v1.5.5 of Jevents. I am running it in Joomla 1.5.20 (which happens to be installed in a subdirectory of my web root). My PHP version is 5.2.13.

When I try to save any config settings (even the default ones) I get a 406 error as follows:

"Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /web/administrator/index.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Please help!!

Can you please check your write permissions in the server?

Your server is running some extreme security addon e.g. the suhosin patch to php which is being too aggressive about filtering the post variables from the config.

You will need to talk to your webhost to see how to relax these constraints.

Okay, thanks. Jevents works and I can add dates and embed it into Joomla, it is just the control panel configuration changes that don't work. I will see what I can do with the server settings and this patch.

Thanks

Its probably a variable name or field value that is a banned word or that there are too many fields in the post.
