JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

SOLVED - JEvents 1.5 + JoomFish - events.xml

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Hi there,

I'm trying to get JEvents 1.5 BETA to work with Joomfish on that site : http://danslarue.purecobalt.com/ It's a 1.5.9 install and legacy mode is OFF and I really want avoid using it.

The calendar and the latest events modules translation works fine with the language .ini files from previous version; all the months, days, etc. are translated. Now I'm trying to get my events in Joomfish to be able to translate them. In the previous versions, this was done by adding the events.xml file in the /contentelements/ folder. This file seems to tells to Joomfish where to look in the database - which table and which IDs - to get content. I'm not an SQL expert and I really don't know how to update that file in order to work.

Is there somewhere I can't find an updated file for 1.5 BETA?? If not, can someone help me to do that? I'll take care to share it afterward.

Thanks

Steve Forest

Try this - it should be called jevents_vevdetail.xml

Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<joomfish type="contentelement">
  <name>JEvents</name>
  <author>Mathis Dirksen-Thedens</author>
  <version>1.0</version>
  <description>Definition for JEvents Component</description>
  <reference>
     <table name="jevents_vevdetail">
        <field type="referenceid" name="evdet_id" translate="0">ID</field>
        <field type="titletext" name="summary" translate="1">Summary</field>
      <field type="htmltext" name="description" translate="1">Description</field>
      <field type="text" name="location" translate="1">Location</field>
      <field type="text" name="url" translate="1">URL</field>
      <field type="text" name="organizer" translate="1">Organizer</field>
      <field type="text" name="contact" translate="1">Contact</field>
      <field type="text" name="extra_info" translate="1">Extra</field>
     </table>
  </reference>
</joomfish>

Just tried it and it works fine. Thank you very much for that.

Do you mind if I drop your file on my personnal server and post a link here?

Many thanks,

I don't think you have installed the polish language file for JEvents properly
