1) Can I go directly to an external webpage or internal joomla page from an event in a list (without going to calendar)- if so, what level subscription is required?
2) Does the tool allow overriding a regularly scheduled event (For example, if an event is normally held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday every month, but for some reason will me either not held one Tuesday or held another day that week) - can that be done, and if so, what level subscription is required?
3) What kind of information can be imported using CSV? Can I include category? Can a CSV be set to import from the front-end? If so, what level subscription is required?

What is your satisfaction policy if we cannot get the tool to do what we need at the subscription level we purchase?

Thanks,
Andy

there are 2 silver member addons that may be what you need - one is the custom fields addon which allows you to add a URL type field to your event and this can be configured to auto-redirect from the event page i.e. to an external webpage or a Joomla page. Also there is a CCK addon which allows you to associate your event with either a K2, Zoo, EasyBlog or SobiPro item and can auto-redirect the event detail page there.

This is a standard feature of JEvents and you can customise/delete specific repeats in the frontend or backend of Joomla.

3) What kind of information can be imported using CSV? Can I include category? Can a CSV be set to import from the front-end? If so, what level subscription is required?

Yes - you can import categories with your event (and even auto-create new ones) and can import from the frontend of Joomla. Note that the custom URL field described above and be part of this import.

What is your satisfaction policy if we cannot get the tool to do what we need at the subscription level we purchase?

Thanks,
Andy

Thanks for the prompt response! A couple more questions:

1) Can I totally replace all events in a calendar with a CSV upload? I would like to have a master csv file with all scheduled future events that I can use to update the site as needed. If so, what level of subscription is required?

2) Can events be set that are information only (no links, etc)? For example, if the office is closed on predefined holidays, can the jevents just show 'Closed for Holiday' with no linkk to calendar or anything else? If so, what level of subscription is required?

3) Is it possible for some element in jevents to display as a different color if we want them to stand out? If so, what level of subscription is required?

4) Is it possible to have some events display permanently in jevents (without changing dates), while other events roll off the list depending on date? If so, what level of subscription is required?

5) You mentioned that it is possible with a bronze subscription to have an event in jevents go directly to a link? Would it be possible to have it go directly to a popup? If so, what level of subscription is required?

Just to be clear, if I have to purchase a certain level of subscription to get the features I need, I can continue to use the functionality of that subscription beyond the time the subscription expires, as long as I do not need updates or support, correct?

Another quick question - is it possible to insert a jcalendar or jevent function inside an existing module? If so, what level of subscription is required?

1) Can I totally replace all events in a calendar with a CSV upload? I would like to have a master csv file with all scheduled future events that I can use to update the site as needed. If so, what level of subscription is required?

Yes

2) Can events be set that are information only (no links, etc)? For example, if the office is closed on predefined holidays, can the jevents just show 'Closed for Holiday' with no linkk to calendar or anything else? If so, what level of subscription is required?

You mean - only show up in the main calendar but no detail pages? This should be doable by using the layout editor for specific category events - see https://www.jevents.net/frequently-aske ... ut-editing

3) Is it possible for some element in jevents to display as a different color if we want them to stand out? If so, what level of subscription is required?

Yes - different categories can have different colours

4) Is it possible to have some events display permanently in jevents (without changing dates), while other events roll off the list depending on date? If so, what level of subscription is required?

Not suer what you mean by this

5) You mentioned that it is possible with a bronze subscription to have an event in jevents go directly to a link? Would it be possible to have it go directly to a popup? If so, what level of subscription is required?

Silver membership actually - you can have links that could open in a popup but you may find browser security restricts you on this for links on a different domain

Just to be clear, if I have to purchase a certain level of subscription to get the features I need, I can continue to use the functionality of that subscription beyond the time the subscription expires, as long as I do not need updates or support, correct?

That is correct

Thanks again for the prompt response!

Just some additional points for clarification:

1) You mentioned a number of features are available, but did not indicate which subscription level is required. If I purchase the Silver level (not Bronze - thanks for the correction:)), are all the features I have asked about included?

2) In regard to the question "Can events be set that are information only (no links, etc)? For example, if the office is closed on predefined holidays, can the jevents just show 'Closed for Holiday' with no links to calendar or anything else?", I mean can I have event that appear in jevents not be linkable - just informational? Again, with every question, if available, I need to know what subscription level is required.

3) In regard to different colors, once an event (or category) is assigned a color, does it appear with the same color in both jcalendar and jevents?

4) In regard to the question "Is it possible to have some events display permanently in jevents (without changing dates), while other events roll off the list depending on date? If so, what level of subscription is required?" What I mean is that with jevents I can limit the date range that appears on the list of some items so they ignore the range and always appear, or would it be necessary to keep updating the dates of these "permanent" items so they do not fall out of the date range and off the list?

Thanks again!

Hello Andy,

1) Yes, Silver Membership

2) You can with the Hidden event details plugin see:
https://www.jevents.net/products-new/ad ... d-in-users

Alternatively, just create a blank event which says 'No Event today'

3) It appears for the JEvents Calendar. What is JCalendar?

4) Not really, we have a time limit plugin which can be set on a menu item and then 'Roll off' But it would get tricky to take and make them stick. It's not possible without a separate menu item.

Many thanks
Tony

OK, thanks for those answers. Just one more clarification:

Here is what I asked: "3) In regard to different colors, once an event (or category) is assigned a color, does it appear with the same color in both jcalendar and jevents?" What I meant is if I get a list of events, what level of control do I have over the colors they are presented in? Can I have some events I want to stand out on this type of list appear in red? Or will they all appear in the same color? Or will they only appear in the color assigned to the category to differentiate different events on a calender view?

Does that clarify things?

I'm not sure what you mean by jcalendar.

In addition to the colours you can set a 'priority' or featured flag and then use CSS to highlight these events - we can help you as a silver member with the custom CSS you would need to highlight these events.
