Is it compatible with joomla 3 and Virtuemart 2?

Virtuemart 2 is not Joomla! 3 compatible so we cannot offer such compatibility.

RSVP Pro nevertheless is Joomla! 3 compatible and for this Joomla! version we offer paypal, authorize and hikashop integration.

If you want to use Joomla! 3 at this moment, your only option for RSVP is not using VirtueMart and using Paypal or hikahop for your RSVP payment gateway.

There is an unstable version of VM but we have not tested it and will not probably do till it's not stable.

Will I also be able to generate tickets with Hikashop and RSVP Pro?

Yes, the tickets are handled within JEvents always, it is just the transactions which are handled through Hikashop or Virtuemart.

Although are you selling other things on your website to need an Ecommerce solution? Otherwise just use RSVP Pro and PayPal or Authorize.net plugin for instance.

Note with Hikashop you need the Business Solution to integrate with RSVP Pro.
