We're hoping that by using RSVP Pro it might be possible to adapt JEvents to work as a simple task manager.
We have several engineers working at separate sites, each engineer can opt to complete any of the tasks which are listed to be done for that day. We have complex recurring patterns and the repeat event capabilities of JEvents appear to meet our needs exactly, along with the fact that each event (or task) can have a full description including location details and images etc. Our hope is that by limiting the availability of each recurring event to just one person per day, then once an engineer clicks to register (or complete) then that particular event would instantly become unavailable to anybody else to register. This would need to be a simple single radio type selection or something similar. We must also be able to easily look back to any particular day via the calendar and see who attended/completed each event/task.
By using a few simple language overrides to alter the terminology, we believe RSVP Pro could meet our needs. Do you think this is achievable? Or are we barking up the wrong tree?

This could indeed be done using RSVP Pro - and you would have the option to either hide the event from other engineers once its been allocated or just make is unavailable with an appropriate colour highlighting.

Thanks for your prompt reply Geraint, I'm going to recommend to my team that we purchase the Gold membership. Although it may seem odd using an extension designed for events to manage tasks, believe me we've tried lots of more obvious options and nothing else quite does the job.
