Subscribe to iCal instead of import?

Hi all,
Thank you for fantastic extension!

I now have a request to display events from online calendar together with events from JCal.

Is there any way to do this? I know I can import iCal events, but how do I keep this current? Any advice or workaround is highly appreciated...
Hello,

Just create a new JEvents Calendar and select from URL and enter the jCals export url? or whatever it is which generates the export file.

Then click load. The calendar will be saved and imported.

In the JEvents Calendars set allow anon refresh and copy the url link and setup a cron job to run this to make it automated.

Can I filter out some unwanted events by set of keywords? Or is that too much to ask?

I'm afraid not out of the box.... Technically it is possible if you re-wrote some of our import script.
