We are considering using JEvents on our church's website.
We have used Google Calendar for some time now, where all employees and volonteers log in to the calendars using their Google account login.
If we decide to use JEvents it will not be as a public calendar on our Joomla website but a calendar for registered (Google account) users only.

So my questions are:
1: Can our employees and volonteers log in to JEvents/Joomla using their Google account? - and so that they see both the church calendars they have been given access to AND their own personal Google calendar?

2: Our employees have used a Google calendar app on their smartphones to view the calendars. Can they continue to do that or does JEvents "mess up" the Google calendars in any way?

Thank you,
Carsten.
Hello,

1. This would be handled by a Joomla! Login plugin. I think there is Gmail Authentication support? It would essentially duplicate there Google account information to the Joomla! IIRC.

2. They can do it, but you need to make sure how you set it up. i.e. which calendar you want to be master? Should JEvents pull events from Google and then just show the calendar? or should it Allow event creation and populate Google? if you do it this way, adding events on google will not pull to JEvents.

Thanks
Tony
