Hi,

I'm in the process of reworking a website on to the Joomla framework and there is a requirement of a store (which I added with virtuemart) and included with that is ticket sales but we are going to be working with a very large event organizer who have agreed we can do e-tickets but I need a system that uses barcodes/qcodes and I presume that RSVP does etickets to attached the barcode to instead of interacting with some other back end system?. I see that its in the works but I like JEvents and would like to know when this is being released or if there is beta access at all. The site goes live in the new year and whatever system I use has to be live with it.

Thanks in advance.

Rob
I have a proof of concept working for generating and interacting with QR codes and barcodes - its just waiting for the final push of testing and release.

If you are able to work with me for testing we should be able to include the QR/Bar code ticket validation and actual attendance recording within the first 2 weeks of January - does that fit your timetable?

Geraint,

Thank you for the swift reply. Yes, I am happy to work with testing the system and January is a perfect time before the main events start being set up and we can work on the smaller events that are not so much required with the barcodes but will be good to iron out bugs. I'll sign up asap.

send me a message in the gold member forum when you've signed up and I'll see what I can do before Christmas. One good thing abuot this time of year is that the forums tend to be a bit quieter

I now have some code that can be tested - can you start a new topic in the gold member forum and I'll attach the test version to that topic.

Do you mean that you need a barcode generator to generate QR code?

Hello,

No JEvents RSVP Pro generates it. You need a barcode scanner to scan the barcode to confirm their attendance.

Thanks
