I wonder if I purchase JEvents, I would have a module or some extra configuration for rss feeds. The situation is that with the software I manage calendars and events, allows me to categorize these calendars and events so the rss feed will download only the events of that category ... Can I do it also with JEvents?
I stay attentive to your comments, I'm pretty interested in purchasing this product.
Thanks a lot, regards.
Hello lina123,

JEvents is an iCal based calendar so we can import events in ical and .csv format. Do these sites support ical exports?

Failing that it sounds like what you want is to use the Joomla! Built in RSS Feed display system.

Thanks
Tony

Hi Tonyp,

It doesn't support iCal exports.
What we do with our software is generate a url with Rss Feed and load in Joomla in a module.
That allow us to have different pages with different Rss Feeds but in the same calendar.
You can see it here http://www.icesi.edu.co/agenda/

We are trying to find a component with the same caracteristics.

Hello lina,

I see. It's a very rare function you are looking for. I have never heard of anyone using it before and with RSS becoming more and more outdated I couldn't see the benefit of this for the majority of users. Being an iCal based calendar we need to stick to iCal based schema and using the RSS Feeds to generating a snapshot of the url wouldn't work i'm afraid.

Thanks
Tony
