Hi there,

I have problems with this new version of Jevents.
Once I have Joomla Normal Caching enabled, which is the standard setting of my site, I am getting a "Call to a member function get() on null" error. If I disable caching, it is working.

I am using Jevents since many years but never had such issue.

Any idea, what could be the problem?

Best regards and have a good day

Michael

Same problem here on multiple sites. Thanks for the turn off cache tip. Works good for now.

Also discovered that the custom css (from within jEvents) has been cleared and replaced with other css all related to popover support.

I too have this problem. I upgraded to 3.4.53 on one of my sites and immediately received a 404 message when attempting to view the current calendar of events. I disabled Joomla Caching in Global Configuration and calendar is back working. I have another site that is still running 3.4.52... so I will wait until a fix is available before upgrading.

Thanks.

Does anyone know offhand what table, in a backup copy of the database, would hold our custom css?
Found it -- a .css file, /components/com_jevents/assets/css/jevcustom.css

Sorry about this - I'll release 3.4.54 with a fix in a few minutes.

Hi ! Thank you all.
Sorry but about the jevcustom.css file, is there an other way to keep our customised css ?

The Custom CSS will always be in jevcustom.css we do not hold a backup.

Many thanks
Tony

Sorry Tony, I'm not sure to correctly translate the end of your message.
I asked that because releases 3.4.53 and 3.4.54 successively replaced my own custom css by other css code in jevcustom.css.
Vmurphy reported it earlier in that thread.
Do you mean that this is also solved for next update ?

Oh no I am very sorry about that. Geraint has done another release without it :-(. It's unfortunately part of the problem preparing for our new release.

Many thanks
Tony
