Hi - few questions if I may:

With JEvents, are events editable by the website member who created them if they make an error - eg a Joomla registered member? I have jcal pro on an old 1.5 site currently and this isn't possible so I'm always having to edit stuff for people, although I'm talking about using a J3.x site with these questions.

Is it possible with any plugin to share a calendar somehow across two completely separate Joomla websites - ie not using anything like MightySites?

If so could you have a couple of levels of event categories, the first potentially filtering by website/area (which covers one geographic area) and the second being type of event (music, community etc), or could you have event submitters choosing whether to show events on one site or both?

If I did go the Mightysites or similar route one day, is the above possible?

Finally - is it responsive for tablet/mobile viewing?

Hope that makes some sense!

Cheers
Hello,

First! let me welcome you to JEvents!

1. Yes you can configure each user groups rights, whether they can edit own and whether they can edit all events.

2. You can, we are an iCal based calendar so you could duplicate the calendar on another Joomla! site and setup a CronJobs to automatically load the events. Alternatively, you can use our remote module loader here:
http://www.jevents.net/download-area/br ... les-loader

3. Interesting, you can setup multicategory support in JEvents. So you could select Category 1 and then select Category Remote Site. Then configure the iCal export to be limited to Remote Site category so only the Remote Site Category events are pulled to the Remote site.

I'm not familiar with Mightysites, so cannot confirm nor deny that i'm afraid.

With JEvents Iconic, Ruthin and soon the new JEvents Flat Layout are all responsive.

Many thanks
Tony

Interesting - thanks very much. Not wishing to post in the wrong place so early on, but I've just installed it on a 3.2 site and I have a quick question to help me on my way: how do you add a 'Add event' link to the different calendar views - or do you have to do that through a menu?

And how does the 'Authorised users' section relate to the overall ACL section er, wherever it was? Surely I don't have to add everyone to Authorised to be able to post events? I just want registered members to be able to do that, with moderation.

Sorry - two questions. I'll hold fire on the third!

Cheers

Hi
1. Am I right in thinking I need to buy a Silver plan to get into the game with any responsive template, inc all the above?

2. Any idea why there are several tiny icons at the top of my calendar (print, email and something I haven't yet identified ) which have a blue blob over them, next to the link back to your website? Is it because I need to activate these features or something? Certainly like this on 'ext' and 'default' templates, whether viewed as 'registered' or 'superadmin'.

Cheers

The ext, geraint and default layouts resize with the space avaiable

Your blue blobs sound as though they are being created by your template's CSS file - if you give us a URL we can advise you on how to resolve this

that is a service we offer to club members only I'm afraid - but there is an article that may help you http://www.jevents.net/docs/jevents/ite ... s-with-css - the key thing is to use Firebug or the Chrome inspector to investigate the CSS you need to check/change

Hi
Appreciate that. Happy to consider subscribing as I said in the PM; just looking again at the different levels trying to work out what I need, so my further presales questions are:
Could you tell me what benefits the CB plugin actually offers please as I have CB on the site, and yet it seems to function currently without it?
And are the templates that are only available via the bronze silver or gold - whichever it is I need - in any sense "more responsive" than the freebies, which as far as I can see so far only re-size to an extent?
And under which level of support is the service you mention above, to look at my site (via front or even back end?) that is only available to club members?
And finally, do any of your packages apply for support or using subscription-only add ons across multiple domains?
Meantime, launching Firebug
Many thanks

Hello,

The cb plugin allows listing events the user has attended/created an so on.

The layouts like iconic etc are more responsive and jump to a list view on the month calendar when going smaller.

You would need silver membership, gold if you want registrations etc but can upgrade at any point and it will take into consideration your current subscription.

With regards to site support, we do provide this for silverSilver and gold members where some thing unexplained has happend that is not covered in our documentation.

Thanks
Tony

Thanks for that clarification.

And if I subscribe can I use add ons and benefit from support etc across multiple sites/domains (currnently only one but may put it on two more longer term)?

Cheers
