We're updating an html based site for a client. We'd like to provide them with some type of events calendar solution, but we can't seem to find a system similar to JEvents that's designed for non-CMS sites. We use JEvents on all of our joomla sites and are completely satisfied with the way it works. So we thought maybe we would install joomla in a subdirectory of the site and load JEvents as the default menu item. That would make it easy to access a full calendar from the main site (http://mysite.com/events). The draw back is that we'd have to design a template/menu system that mirrors the main site. Also, in that scenario, I would want to have some type of Upcoming Events list that could be displayed on some specific pages in the main site. I'm not sure if its possible to incorporate the code of that module into the main site. Or should I be looking to simply include the joomla/jevents page into an iframe on the main site? I'd appreciate any input or suggestions that would allow us to achieve this.
