Hello, I was using an older version of Jevetns, j3.0.12 to be precise. I am curious, I purchased the latest version of Jevents, and I am hesitant to overwrite the existing plugin as I don't want it to break.

Can I update to the latest version without effecting the content of the previous version?

Hello,

Firstly you should always do a backup. Use akeeba backup if you have never done one before.

Then you can upgrade, should anything go wrong you can then revert to your backup :-). But everything should be fine, however we moved to jQuery in 3.2 and therefore there maybe some unexpected side effects with your template so we do advise a thorough testing once updated.

Many thanks
Tony

Seems everything is okay. Thank you for your response :)

Is there a setting to slow down the speed of the slides? I currently was unable to find that and the slides are moving pretty fast. Thank you.

Hello,

If you are on the latest version in the slideshow module there is indeed a setting :-) it's called 'Slides delay'

Many thanks
Tony
