Hi guys!

Quick question... revisiting these settings...

When setting permissions to not allow a user to publish their own events, requiring admin to review and publish.

Once the event is published, the user can't unpublished it if needed...

Can we get an an additional permission setting to show the Published State dropdown or add the option to the Manage Event popup?

Thanks!
Adina
Hello,

The problem with unpublish is it is technically a publishing state. You should allow them to delete own and they will go to the trash.

Or you can put a note in that if they edit their own event it will go for review again and they should put a 'Please unpublish' note in the title.

Many thanks

Hey Tony!

Thanks for the quick reply.

I looked for a delete own setting but there isn't one...

Theres only Delete All which allows them to delete other users events

I'm just on my phone, but can you try enabling delete all? I don't think we would allow you to delete all if you couldn't edit the event so the edit own helps here.

IF not, I'll look into this more tomorrow.

Hi Tony

Yeah I already tested it before I contacted you...

It will allow the user to delete other peoples events if Delete All is selected.

Tomorrow's fine

Thanks!

Ok and this is the problem we have.

Can you add a custom field? i.e. a tick box 'Request event deletion' Then it will go for review on saving again at which point the admin can delete it.

Many thanks
