There is a Latest Events module with a custom format string:
${content(200|...)}
This turncates the content after 200 characters.
Could you please consider extending this with supporting readmore?
Like there is a "readmore" in the content after 140 characters, the module should truncate there but if there is no readmore or it's after 200 characters, the thext should be truncated after 200.
