I've created a Home menu item (default) that worked until 3.7.5 (and is still broken in 3.8.1). Specifically, the menu item type is "JEvents - Core » View by Month » View by Month" with access to "registered"

Whenever I enable this as default, users trying to access the site get a too_many_redirects error. If I set the access to Public, users can access the site, however it's meant to be private (not visible before login).

Suggestions on how to fix?
This is a Joomla! Issue they cannot come to an agreement on how to handle yet.

You need to create a Joomla! Login menu item publicly accessible and it should work.

Many thanks

Gotta love that! Thanks for the quick response. I'll add it to my monthly follow-up schedule.

No problem, the issue lyes that the user should Create a Login menu item if they want to allow users to login. But previously they didn't mind, however, they force the homepage menu item on the redirect url since they do not have one to go off when redirecting to login. But then the login page is restricted like the original menu item, so it's creates a loop.

I had solved it, but it didn't work on multilingual and it's getting time to solve it or someone else to solve it.

Many thanks
