Hi,

If I make a repeating event, I want the users to see this information when the open the event on a radom day. Now they only have the posibility to "Go to previous" or "Go to next", but I can't see, that the event eg. starts May 1st and onds Juni 1st.

I have looked in the config settings, but this does not help me. Is this because it is not possible - or have I overlooked something?

Best Regards,
Anders
You mean you want to show the start of the first and last repeats?

Did you see all the options in the layout editor e.g. {{First repeat start::FIRSTREPEATSTART}}

If you use the club member addon (Matching events finder) - you can show a list of other repeats within the layout of your event detail page

In the first screen dump, I have maked two repeating events - but in this list view it is not possible to see, that it is a repaeating event.

In the second screen dump I have open one of the repeating events, but only indication of this being a repeating event, is the prvious and next arrows - it does not show anywhere else.

I know I can write it in the description text, but it would be nice to show it without writing it in the text.

Does it require Matching events finder to achieve this?

Best Regards,
Anders

Hello,

Did you see Geraints comment:

so to explain further, go in to JEvents -> Custom Layouts -> List Row

And you can customise the output. You can then save and publish it.

Many thanks

Sorry, but it does nor work at all. {{First repeat start::FIRSTREPEATSTART}} has absolutly no effect, and if I put put the strings for start date and end dates in, it just show the dates for this single event - not the start and end date for the whole series of events.

Use:

{{Previous/Next Links:PREVIOUSNEXT}}

When in the layout editor look at the options available to you in the dropdown.

Many thanks

Hi,

This simply does not work ...... maybe we are talking beside each other.

When having a repeating event, I want the end date to show in the Event details. I have attached i screen dump showing what I mean (text saying "This event continues until end date"). The problem is, that this also shows in non repeating events!

Same issue in list view - but here I could use the calendar view, where repeating event does show on each date.

Maybe there also is some kind of conflict with the template or other components. In some of my event descriptions

acts like < /br> .......

I am not sure, what this means, but I am using JEvents "as it is".

Hello Anders,

So you want to show the end date of the last repeating event in the series?

Use:

{{Last repeat end:LASTREPEATEND}}

This shows the end date in the event details. We haven't tested it in the list row, so may not work there.

Thanks
Tony

Hi,

It does work in event details - thank you.

It does not work in listview, and I wonder why noone has requsted this. When I look at the list view, there is no idication, in an event is repeating or a one day event. I think that eg. an icon illustrating that it is a repeating event would have been nice - something like the icon used in the back for a repeating event.

Anders

Hello,

I will look at adding it into the list view for a future release.

Usually the events are the same name or separated with a slightly different title i.e. Round 1, Round 2.

Many thanks

FWIW linking to documentation for using the Custom Layouts and {{First repeat start date:FIRSTREPEATSTART}} may have been a more helpful use of the forum as it also helps others with similar issues.
