I have been considering using jEvents for my non-profit volunteer crew website for trainings and such. I am looking at a subscription to get jRSVP Pro. I need to know if it will work for my purposes. Otherwise I need to just program a custom component, which I could do.

My need is to be able to add 3 events for every day over a 5 week period. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. I need crew members to be able to "RSVP" whether or not they need to be fed and how many people are in their party for each meal. In the end, I need to be able to easily extract how many people are in for each meal, and be able to see who signed up for how many people for each meal so if people chronically ask for a meal and then don't show, I can have a chat with them.

Can I easily get that from RSVP Pro. Particularly, can I permit each registered user to respond with a "how many people are in your party" (generally not more than 3), and can I easily get a total of the number of people attending without having to add them all up?
This is all possible and fairly easy to implement with RSVP Pro.

You would set up repeating events one for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner repeating daily for 5 weeks

All of these would use the same RSVP Pro event template with a drop down question for 'How many meals you want?' - If you set a limit on attendees then this count would be added up across all attendees. We need a limit on attendees to trigger the counting - so if there is no real limit you could set this very high e.g. 1000 max attendees.

In the event management overview you would see how many have signed up against each event/meal.

If you wanted to ask about allergies/special requirements etc. then this is easy to capture too.

I could help you set up your first event to get you started.
