Hi Tony,

if you remember we had problems with bootstrap, problems that you helped me to resolve. After it everything seemed to be ok but there is a new problem that we didn't see at the beginning. We've created users in JEvents and edited the permissions for them. Users can create event and can edit all fields except (I don't know why) the comments field (location and contact too, but this two are not necessary by now) that can be only modified by Superusers. So far the calendars have to be used by teachers to write different things and including contents in the comments field, I want to ask you if you could find a solution for it.

When we try to insert a comment returns this message: "Error, bad request".

We set priority in critical because the teachers can't work with it.

Many thanks for advanced,

Esperança
Hello Esperança,

Can you provide logins details and a way for us to replicate the issue?

Many thanks

Hi Tony,

have you got the possibility to review our issue? It would be nice to be able to use this field for the contents. I understand you've got a lot of work. It was only to report it.

Many thanks,

Hello Esperança,

Sorry but the logins are not working. I did try on Sunday? Can you re-confirm they work? and I'll take a look straight away.

Many thanks

Hi, Tony,

I do not understand why you can not sign in. You have access to the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom.

I pass you the logins again.

I also wanted to comment, so as not to open another discussion in the forum, than when the event is published, although when you edit you select the 24 hour time format when it is published, it is not preserved. For example: you edit 12:00 to 15:00 and it is published 12:00 to 03:00.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,

I was able to get in now. Can you confirm where this 'Comments' field is? I cannot see it in any of your events as a super user?

Many thanks

Hi Tony,

I send you a snapshot with a filled field (it's a comment posted as superuser on behalf of a user editor because he can not). As superuser works and you can save it. As normal user (logged) we get the "bad request" message and results not saved.

It happens in general for all users, except the superusers.

Thanks,

Esperança

Hello,

Can I get FTP access please? I was making a file save and my internet cut out it looks like the plugin file has partially saved causing a fatal error.

Hi Tony,

we've recovered with a backup made wednesday morning, we've lost some information from the calendars because yesterday we're working with it. We will recover it manually anyway. The site is up again if you want to try it again. We don't use FTP, if you want you can use "Profiles" extension instead (snapshot attached)

Many thanks,

Tony asked me to take a look at this for you.

First thing I notice is that your site is loading the bootstrap javascript library twice (which can cause a lot of problems). I suspect this is caused by your menu module or gallery addon??

Your bad request message is triggered by a security addon on your site/server. when you try to check for conflicting events. this is the underlying message

400 - Ha estat detectada una seqüència que podria significar un atac hacker. Seva petició no pot ser processada.

You either need to find the security setting causing this and change it or stop checking for overlapping events in JEvents. I think its your 'Securitycheck' firewall addon that causes the problem

Hi Geraint,

I've uninstalled securitycheck firewall and FW Gallery component and I can edit now but I have the first problem that appears as resolved in "my discussions" and whose tittle is "Problem with event edition in front end (pop-up) issue". Can you check it? Maybe we have to undo changes made in that moment.

The status of the problem now is that I can't select a choice of the popup because appears and dissappears quickly, so I can't edit.

Many thanks,

Esperança
