Hi I read and know that Jevents has a feature to "check for conflicting events" but I want to prevent the public from adding the exact same event twice. Is there a way to prevent this?

Examples:
I want to prevent - One person may add an event called "Specific Concert" on November 3, 2015 at 7:00pm. Another person who may not have checked to see if the event was added to the community calendar already may also try to add "Specific Concert" on November 3, 2015 at 7:00pm. (Duplicate Event)

I want to allow - One person may add "Specific Concert" on November 3, 2015 at 7:00pm, someone else may add "A Totally Different Specific Concert" on November 3, 2015 at 7:00pm.

The concept is to capture all community events (which may overlap or may not), but to prevent the exact same event from being added twice.

Thanks
There is not any duplicate check out of the box, but you may use event categories or event resources or locations and the conflicting events.

For isntance if "Specific Concert" is at "Specific Palace" and the "Different Concert" is at "Different Palace" you can make your users to always set up the location (using our Locations Manager addon) and then you will be able to have both events at the same time, but not both events at same time and same location. Same applies if you want to use People/Resource Manager instead.

Does that work for you?
