How do I add a new location and have the correct Google map show? The new location might be showing just the default location. My Silver membership recently expired, and wonder if that is why I am unable to have the map show the correct location?

Another issue, when editing on the front end, the locations are very sparse. I have maybe 10 locations in the back end while the front end only shows 3.

Do I need to renew the Silver membership just to create new records correctly?
Hello,

You don’t need to renew to change anything how it functions. But you should renew for support of club add-ons.

On cresting the location, when you click find on the map does it find the location?

Many thanks

Hi Tony. The location creation/edit form has a button 'Find Address' but nothing appears to happen when I click on it. I had filled in the address data manually; should the 'Find Address' button then tag the lat/long for Google maps?

Yes it should, try right clicking and inspect page then click console.

Do you see any messages in there? IT looks like it could be a partial restriction on the google maps API.

Many thanks

Hi Tony,

Yes, the problem looks to be a 'mixed content' problem. My site uses HTTPS while the needed script at Google is contained in HTTP. Is this a problem I can fix with Google? Or do I need to force my site to HTTP in order to acquire the Google map in your component?

Thanks Tony. I had to go to the host to cancel the SSL certificate, and then I could acquire the new location in Google maps. After reinstalling the certificate, the new location is working well now.

Note, you will want to double check that your google urls in JEvents Managed Locations Config are set to https://

Many thanks
