navigation icons on mini calendar disappear on mouse hover using a MAC OS

I am running Jevents v 3.1.19 with Joomla v 3.2.3. I have an editor who looks after all calendar entries. He uses a Mac OS and he has recently found a problem with the navigation icons in the mini-calendars on the event editing page. The current month is shown and when the cursor hovers over the navigation icons they disappear. It is not possible to look at the previous or future month or year. This has only recently started to happen. I have no problem on a PC. We are using the 'ext' layout. I've tried 'Geraint' and the problem is the same. So any help would be much appreciated

Firstly upgrade to Joomla! v3.7.2 since your site can be hacked in minutes, then upgrade all components like JEvents to v3.4.39.

Making sure you have a backup first. IF you still have an issue some on hover css can usually fix it.

I'll update the JEvents first.and see if that fixes the problem. I'd rather not update Joomla! yet since that means a lot of extra work updating the css which I can do it will take a lot more time because of the number of changes we've made. If the problem is related to the css why would it only appear on a MAC?

Hello,

ok whilst it may mean work updating Joomla! Not quite sure why you would have hard coded CSS... I could hack your website in a few minutes given it's version.

IF you want to be secure, please update both.

There is no reason for core file changes in Joomla! 99.9% of the time.
