I have a joomla 1.6 project and i need a calender with the above item.
if i can get the 2.0 i will add this option and contribute the result to the communitie. Is this an option?

You can't have multiple categories in JEvents 2.0 BUT silver members can use the Jevents tagging addon which allows you to assign multiple, pre-defined tags to events.
