Hi there

I have a multilingual website https://anav.ch. Installed languages are DE, FR and IT.

The default language is DE. Here https://anav.ch/de/termine everything works fine.
If you switch to FR https://anav.ch/fr/agenda-fr, the Year/Category/Range View works fine. But clicking any item results in a "404 - Categry not found" error. The behaviour of IT https://anav.ch/it/agenda is exactly the same.

This used to work fine until recently. I am not quite sure, when this began. The lates Jevents update? The latest Joomla update?

Thank you and kind regards
Chris
Hello Chris,

We haven't changed anything from the multi-lingual point of view. Did you recently upgrade to Joomla! 3.9.3?

Can you provide super user logins so we can take a deeper look?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony

I see that you were logged on to the backend a couple of days ago. Obviously you did not find a solution?!

Kind regards
Christof

Hello Christof,

I can see the problem but I am struggling to find the cause. I will advise when we have an update.

Many thanks
Tony

The problem seems to be with the SEF system that generates the multi-lingual menu item links.

For example Italian menu item offers a link to https://anav.ch/it/termine/1065/seetal-und-surental-unbekannte-weinperlen-aus-luzern instead of https://anav.ch/it/agenda/1065/seetal-und-surental-unbekannte-weinperlen-aus-luzern

I logged in to the backend to check which SEF system you are using - seems to be Joomla standard SEF with no extensions (correct?).

Do you remember what the URLs used to look like?

The menu associations appear to be correct so it looks as though Joomla isn't generating the correct SEF link at the menu item level.

Hello,

So the issue was because you set the Target Menu Item ID for ALL menu items within the JEvents Configuration -> Event Detail.

I've reset this now and it's working as expected.

Many thanks
