Monthly view default after adding event?

I've searched but can't find a solution.

After adding an event, it displays the new event. It is just text with a "Back" link.

Is there a way to have it go straight to the Monthly view after creating an event, or have a button to return to the calendar?

The folks I'm considering this calendar for will be confused by the current behaviour.
I'll be lucky to teach them how to create an event, but they probably won't be able to get back to the calendar view (even with the mini calendar on the side).

Hello Joe,

You would need to do a little hack for this I'm afraid. You usually want them to go to the event to view the details they have entered.

Although, if they create an event and are not authorised to publish etc, you can control where they will return to with:

JEvents Configuration -> Event Editing -> Scroll to the bottom -> Redirect Afterwards?

Alternatively, you could add your own button onto the event details? View Calendar. At the bottom or top.

Yeah, I was figuring I'll need to add a button.
Just hoping I was missing something.
I'll give them publish rights then make my own corrections.
Chances are, I would need to enter the events myself anyway.
