Hello,
Is it possible that photos of past events are deleted automatically? Is there an option that does that?

In my case all the photos of past events that are between the year 2014 and 2016 are no longer related to my events and I can't find them on the server, probably because JEvents has renamed them... ?

Can you give me more information on that?

Thank you

Lorenzo
Hello again...
... in the sub-folders of images/jevents/ there is a sub-folder named 160x130 which is not present in my backup.
What to do with this folder?

Thank you

EDIT: OK, restored all photos from an old backup, thank you again

Hello Lorenzo,

No we don't delete them automatically. Can you go to Standard Image and Files Plugin, under the settings at the bottom enable the option to force migration. And run it. Does that help?

Many thanks
Tony

Hello,

Sorry I am struggling of late with the notifications sytem on the forum :-(.

At the bottom:

Should a Super User creating events be offered an option to migrate any old format image data.

Set to yes and click it when it prompts you too.

Many thanks
Tony

Hello Tony,
I set the option to yes but nothing happens ... in what circumstances this should happen?

Thank you

You should be presented with the option to migrate when you create or edit an event?

Many thanks

... Tony maybe you've misunderstood.
I would like to retrieve missing images of past events, events have already been created.
For events of 2014, 2015 and 2016 photos are missing...

Thank you again

Hello Lorenzo,

No I certainly have not. This function allows re-migrating the data.

Please provide super user and phpmyadmin logins and confirm and event which is missing the image that it was previous assigned.

Many thanks

Hello Tony,
url refers to the test site but it's the replica of the live site that has exactly the same problem.
The missing photos are from events ranging from 2014 until early December 2016

All site details can be found in the tab provided for this purpose

Thank you

Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo

I have logged in and see only a small number of images in the JEvents images folder (I installed eXtplorer to take a look).

The standard images plugin only deletes images when a specific event is deleted (not put in the trash - actually deleted from the trash) and even then it checks in case the image has been used in a copied event.

Is there any chance that someone did a clean up of files to release disk space?? OR perhaps events where deleted and the restored from a database backup??

Hello Geraint,
I don’t think anyone has deleted photos, but it is true that a restoration of the site was done few months ago. Maybe at that moment photos were deleted from the database ...? Strange, this never happened during a restoration ... ...

If I resume an old backup, can I re-inject missing photos? In what folder do I have to upload them? How to proceed?

Thank you again

Lorenzo

your database table has 260 images in it - including the missing files so its the images that need to be restored from a backup into the sub-folders of images/jevents/
