Hello,
I'm sorry for my bad english. I bought the Gold license a few years ago for my joomla 2.5.7. Inside I had need of RSVPRO. Today I wish finally to go in Joomla 3 but I do not see any by update of the components JEvents? It tells me that all my modules are up to date. Do I have to buy Gold again? I am a very small association and that annoys me ...

Thank
Hello Fab,

Joomla! 2.5 is very very old now and a lot of development work has gone into making RSVP Pro Joomla! 3.x compatible and php7 ready. So you will need to purchase a subscription again should you wish to update, this is the same as any web component/plugin/service to receive updates and support.

You would need to upgrade Joomla! first then install JEvents and RSVP Pro via the Joomla! Installer.

Many thanks
Tony

Ah thin which is a shame is that it takes the gold version to have just RSVPRO ...
I imagine that the installation takes again the tables of the old version of JEvent? What I mean is that the re-installation still allows to keep all the settings already made?

Hello,

RSVP Pro requires a lot of development time. I.E. we recently moved to OmniPay Payment Library and are writing more payment plugins to improve payment library support. This has meant around 30hours of development time, a good PHP Developer earns around $75/hr so 30 x $75 would equal $2,625 just to add in this payment library if it was a private project. So a yearly renewal at $110 (which isn't really yearly as you don't need to renew yearly for it to continue working) is around 1.5hours of a developers time. I wouldn't say it is expensive really.

Yes you can just install RSVP Pro over the old one and it wouldn't overwrite the database.

Many thanks
Tony
