Please update managed locations, then see the notice it gives you and add the google maps API key.

I had to revert to the older version of 'managed location' or it wouldnt work at all - google map key always worked no prob there - older versions is fine, however it makes you think why people should upgrade to something which is not tested, thank you for the reply anyway.

The latest version is fully tested and working perfectly fine. Google have changed their methods and depending on the country the API will stop working as they are phasing it out. The new version uses the new API and api keys google are requiring. They are restricting it all the time, so yes you should update.

If you update your test site and view where the map is not loading, press F12 to view your developer tools in the browser and look at the console. what do you see?
