Linking JEvents and Google Caledars

I am looking for a Joomla extension to replace my current outdated one. When this was working correctly it used API to import event information from Google Calendar to display on our Joomla pages. I can see that JEvents has some sort of link but without digging deep into the documentation it is not clear if it offers similar functionality to my existing extension.
Can you please advise?
