Interesting error I found today after update. Can not say for certain if the update caused this.

Latest Events with 'Select Categories' of only one Category - the link looks like this (edited so the post would work):
lexchess(dot)com.... detail/2016/08/20/3156/8/owensboro-august-open....

Latest Events with 'Select Categories' with four Categories - the link:
lexchess(dot)com.... detail/2016/08/20/3156/8%7C12%7C24%7C13/owensboro-august-open....

It is adding the '%7C' to the link and causing a 403 error.
I can manually replace the '%7C' with '/' and the link works correctly.

Any ideas?
Hello,

This is usually down to the formatting of the links encoding them. What are your SEF Settings in Joomla?

Many thanks

SEO Settings -
SEF URLs - YES
Use URL Rewriting - NO
Adds Suffix to URL - NO
Unicode Aliases - NO
Include Site Name in Page Titles - NO
Cookie Settings - all blank

Turning off SEF changes the link obviously, and the pipe '|' character shows between the categories: ...catids=8|12|24|13&filter_reset=1...
However, it still gives a 403 - Forbidden Error.

I tried different combos of YES/NO with no fix to the 403.

Hello,

We haven't tested that scenario. Can you try setting:

SEO Settings -
SEF URLs - YES
Use URL Rewriting - YES
Adds Suffix to URL - YES

If it causes 404's then just rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess in your Joomla! Root.

Many thanks
