What capabilities exist in JEvents (or Google Calendar) to synchronize the two? We are now primarily Google Calendar users, but will consider JEvents if it is feasible to marry the two.

You can easily do either or. You can bring events in from Google or bring events in to Google, but you can only use one of them to manage the events.
