Jevents not working properly with Joomla 3.7 RC2

I have installed Joomla 3.7 RC2 on a test site, and it seems that when I try to go to a JEVENTS page on the front end, the screen goes blank...

Will Jevents be putting out a new releae for joomla 3.7?

I posted a fix for this in the 3.5 beta thread its pretty quick fix if you want to try and see if helps so you can resume testing.

Just requires one change on line 99 of site\components\jevents\jevents.php to get things working.
Change this line


$component->params = & $newparams;

to this



$component->params =  $newparams;

JEvents will be ready for the final release of Joomla! 3.7.

We were already compatible but things have changed again. For example, we fully support the new 3.7 Custom Admin menu already.

For the blank page, please can you enable maximum error reporting in Joomla! and view again.

As noted above, after my site upgraded to Joomla 3.7 a JEvents page goes to a blank screen. Is there a fix available?
