Invalid extension update

Hello,
I wanted to update JEvents from V3.6.79 to V3.6.80.
Unfortunately it does not work.
The error message appears in Joomla Invalid extension update.

I am getting the 'invalid extension update' error as well. Also, the module 'Latest events' has caused my site to crash this morning. Once I unpublished the module all was well again. URL: https://scott-ny.org Joomla 5.1.0

Resolved now - there were 2 XML files we needed to update for Joomla 5.1 support but we'd only updated one of these :(

What version of Joomla are you running?

Does a manual install work? i,e download and install the update.
