Hi, is it possible to display an ical button column in a "List of Events" menu? Does it require a membership?
Hello,

Yes the list of events is different. But I have added support for this for the next release of JEvents. You can do the change now if you like. See:

https://github.com/JEvents/JEvents/pull/370/files

First file change, add the green line to your file.

Many thanks

Hello,

No need for a membership :-) But it's always good to have one hehe

Go to: JEvents -> Custom Layouts -> List Row

And insert: {{Ical Button:ICALBUTTON}}

You can select it from the dropdown too within the editor.

Many thanks

Thanks Tony. But nothing I set there makes any difference in the event list view. What am I missing? How do I assign the custom layout to the view? Edit: The layout is published.

Hello,

It certainly should. IF you use the standard Joomla! template does the list then change with the values inserted?

If so, it sounds like your site template is overriding the JEvents List view and you will need to contact the template providers.

Many thanks

I think this was a misunderstanding on your part. I installed JEvents in a clean new Joomla installation, and I realized the list row custom layout only applies to items like "List by week", but not to "List of events", which looks entirely different anyway. So I take it there's no way of adding the Ical-Button to the rows of "List of events"?
