How to upgrade from 5.4.1 with JEvents 3.6.94 to Joomla 6

Hello, I need to upgrade my site from Joomla 5.4.1 to 6.1, it has JEvents 3.6.94 and if I disable the 'Behaviour - Backward Compatibility' Plugin in backend I get only and error so I can't proceed.
What is the correct procedure recommended then?

When you disable the compatibility plugin what error do you get? Enable Joomla debug mode and we can see which file/extensions is throwing the error
