How to show year view (list) as a module?

You can't convert a component view to a module view. But you can use the JEvents Latest Events Module which is in list format.

By the way ... in meantime I solved in another direction as i could not use Events Latest Events Modules (I do not remember why). I just published two menu items - one of type monthly view and one of kind yearly list and hide the first one for small screens and vice versa. Maybe this is a solution for someone else.

you should at least tell us your versions of Joomla and JEvents but maybe apart from this the following might help you: I once missed the module "Random - Image". It had not been listed as available type of modules, when trying to add a new module.
I was told, I had to "activate" it before I can use it.
I remember my surprise as I was only used to activate "plugins" - not modules.
Maybe this will help you.
Sorry for my English and for not telling the way how to reach this as I do not remember myself.
But I swear this was the solution...

Another reason ... maybe this module is not for free (any longer) so that you can not find it?
