How to have a custom edit page layout for different categories ?

how to have a custom edit page layout for one category and another for another category?
Should we edit the custom edit page layout and publish it for one category and do the same for the other category? And unpublish the custom edit page layout for all categories?
I can't figure out how to do it ...

Hello,

You can't really. You can use the JEvents Custom fields and have conditional custom fields. But we don't know the category until users have selected it and the edit page is already rendered by this point.
