Frontend new event window distorted

Hi,
Frontend new event window is distorted in all updates since version 3.6.2. Fields "Calendar" and "Category" do not work, see screenshot attached. Why?

There seems to be a conflict with template Purity_III. I switched the page to another template. That solves the problem.

Thank you!
I have reinstalled JEvents 3.6.2 as an emergency solution. It works fine.
Doesn't this argue against the website being the cause?

I tried 3.6.8. Frontend still looks odd and input fields do not work.
