I imported my JEvents 2.2.2 events from my Joomla 2.5 site to a new test site using JEvents 3.2.5 and Joomla 3.3.6. After importing to the test site, the event times all changed so they are 5 hours earlier. I am in the Chicago time zone, which is 5 hours earlier than the UTC. Is this just a coincidence? The time zone settings on both my server and the JEvents configuration area are set to Chicago.

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Were they also set to chicago on your old site? I suspect not and thus the import is 5 hours out now you have set a timezone.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, the old site's time zone was set to Chicago.

If you set the timezone to a timezone 5 hours behind and import does that then import them at the correct time?

Thanks

Should I try resetting the time zone in JEvents only? Or do I also have to change my server's time zone. I'm not sure where JEvents pulls the time from.

Hello,

For imports you change it in the JEvents iCal imports/export timezone.

Thanks
