Hi,

We are trying to reproduce this event layout -> display list of the events-> http://www.venturacountygrowsbusiness.com/ventura-business-events?view=events''

We are displaying list of events with module help-> Lastest events module. But with this module we can't display ical and facebook ( https://www.jevents.net/discussions/add-ical-facebook-like-and-share-and-map-to-jevents-latest-events-module#reply-191176)

Is there a way ( maybe use another menu or module) to display list of events with same layout? ( display title, location, description, image for each event?). And user should go directly to this event layout)

Please advise,
Sandra
Hello Sandra,

Why not use the JEvents List View?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

Do you mean this: http://www.jeventsdemo.net/list-events?
If yes, we do not want to display events in table - but full event -> like here-> http://www.venturacountygrowsbusiness.com/ventura-business-events?view=events

Or you mean some else Event list?

Please advise,
Sandra

Hello Sandra,

No that's a List Of Events not a list row. So the List Rows are any JEvents List view like: List by year, List by date range etc.

Which is customised in JEvents -> custom layouts -> list row

Many thanks

Hey Tony,

Thanks for the new version.
I installed it and added Facebook like and share to list view. http://vcgb.sohotest.com/index.php?option=com_jevents&view=year&layout=listevents&Itemid=212

But when I what to share event it shares page description, not event content with title. Is it possible to share event title and content?

Please advise,
Sandra

Can you please try the attached? Make sure you test sharing a new event that has not been shared previously.

Hi,

I installed this plugin and created new event, but it still doesn't work.

You can create new event on our website ( it is testing website) and check yourself.

Thanks,
Sandra

Hello,

Firstly you haven't entered your facebook app ID within the facebook plugin.

secondly, there doesn't seem to be a way to view the event from your list? and the index is set to nofollow, noindex?

Many thanks

Hi,

1. Firstly you haven't entered your facebook app ID within the facebook plugin.

Will add.

secondly, there doesn't seem to be a way to view the event from your list?

You mean on front-end? Here are the list of event -> http://www.vcgb.sohotest.com/index.php?option=com_jevents&view=year&layout=listevents&Itemid=212

and the index is set to nofollow, noindex?

It is dev website. On live website is follow, index.

Thanks,
Sandra

Hello Sandra,

But on that page there is no link to the event details of which we are sharing? for example:

http://www.vcgb.sohotest.com/index.php?option=com_jevents&task=icalrepeat.detail&evid=5&Itemid=212&year=2017&month=08&day=05&title=boots-to-business-reboot&uid=dd21fa01237a95bd4fa3dfbf846569c6

is the url we are passing to Facebook for sharing

Hi,

And how I can add link to the event detail?

Maybe use " {{Title Link:TITLE_LINK}}" instead of "{{Title:TITLE}}" ?

Thanks,
Sandra

Hello Sandra,

Yes that would do it.

Can you also enable SEF in the Joomla! Global config? So we can get so nicer URLs for Facebook to like then we can run more tests.

Many thanks

Hi Sandra,

If you are using the JEvents Standard Image and Files plugin then the facebook plugin will pickup this image and use it.

Many thanks
