Good Day,

I'm trying to figure out a way to show the event date (dates, if repeating) on the event detail view page. I have the latest version of JEvents as well as Joomla!.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

So you want to show the next events associated with the repeating event?

If so, it is possible but only with the Matching Events Plugin which is available to our Silver Members:
