Is it (or will it be) possible to add a colour bar or background to specific events (like meetings are blue, workshops are red, fundraisers are green, etc)?
Also, is it possible to search by 'category'? So, if events are spread over several calendars but all share a category (like 'Golf Tournaments') can they be searched/displayed as one list?
Please let me know if these are doable, and if so at which 'level' (free/silver/gold)

You can set the colour when you edit the category and you can also override this when editing an event (if you configure JEvents to allow this). That is a core part of JEvents
