Hello,
I cannot create or edit events in the backend on my live side (iheasther.de).
I tested JEvents on my local installation and everything was working perfectly fine. Then I copied my local set up using Akeeba Backup to my live side at my hoster.
When I try to add or edit events nothings happens for a while. Then the Category field gets a red frame. When I click again on Save I get the message A category has to be selected although the Category field is filled and the the category exists.
Here's the version summary from the JEvents components side of my live side.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Can you view your browsers console when editing an event? Do you see any errors?
Have you customised the Event Edit Page custom layout at all?

I did not customised the Event Edit Page.

it is a problem with my browser.
If I use Firefox - my default browser - I'm not able to create or edit events in the backend on my life server.
I just gave it a try with Microsoft Edge and I could edit and create events without problems. It looks like Firefox does not like something that's coming back from my life side if I change an event. But it is still strange that it works using Firefox on my local installation.

unfortunately - or better to say luckyly - I cannot reproduce the problem anylonger. I was able to create and edit events today. As I recently updated the Norton plugin I assume it was a problem with the Norton plugin and not with your tool.
