Hi Geraint & Team

I'm hoping that JEvents can help me out of a hole left by another extension developer who is apparently unable to respond to tickets

I need to be able to do the following...

I have a client (local charity) who wants a room booking facility on a website, no event attendance bookings will be taken though, bookings MUST be able to be made by GUEST users, on a bespoke form - which as yet hasn't been made - will be made to work with JEvents if it can do what is needed - Please advise how this could be done (if it can at all).

Need to ba able to have both Public events and Private events, but need to show that a room is booked during Private events

Client currently has multiple badly organised G! calendars and use the "Where" field to signify which room the booking is in, so I need to use the Where field to set the category within JEvents, so I can display only certain categories calendar on certain pages and all categories on other pages.

Need to be able to book "extras" (Food / Drink / Tech etc)

Thanks
Rich
Hey Rich,

I don't see any problem doing this with JEvents and RSVP Pro. The forms are styled, can be assigned to access level on registration form, or access level for the whole event too.

Unlimited custom fields too.

We do offer a 30Day Money back, so if you can't make JEvents meet your needs with our help we will give you your money back no quibbles.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

Is there really a need for RSVP? when there wont be any customer bookings for the events that are being held this is all handled by the booker - venue is a community centre - only bookings are charged for not attendance

Hello,

It depends on the workflow you want?

You could use JEvents and Customfields or even Managed People too in that case. But the problem you have is assigning the user to the event.

Many thanks

You could use the custom fields addon to define your extra fields and the anonymous user event creation to allow guest users to create events.

You could use the hidden event details addon to make events in certain categories 'private' and still appear as busy in the calendar.

Ideally users should be logged in to create events so they can easily find these events again but you can do that without being logged in
