I have a calendar set up and tied to an ICal URL. I have also set up a cron job to update the calendar every 5 minutes.

The calendar is populating new events automatically which is great, but events that have passed are not being removed from the calendar unless it is manually refreshed through the administrator portion of the site.

I have done a lot of looking around and have not found a solution to this issue. Can events be removed from the calendar automatically or can it only be done manually? I'd appreciate any assistance I might be able to get with this issue.

Thanks in advance!
Hello,

They are removed if your feed has removed them also. If they exist in your feed, they exist in your site.

You could use the JEvents Timelimit plugin (Silver members) to stop showing past events.

Many thanks

When I remove the item from the feed it stays on the calendar until I log in and do a manual refresh on the site. I have tried to set up the cron job as per instructions provided in the documentation and the cron job runs every 5 minutes, but the events are still showing.

Is there something else I may have missed?
