An event that I just added is not showing up in the latest events module.

Hello I just added the latest JEvents Extension to my Joomla Website. I added a category, a calendar and a new event and published the event then I added a Latest Events module to the sidebar of my home page and the module says "No Events" I have used this mechanism on another site and the event is showing up in that latest events module...

I have compared the two events, calendars, JEvents settings and modules and can not find any difference between the old site settings and the new site settings.. Can someone please let me know what I am missing.. Thank you so much.

Hello Elizabeth,

The in the latest events module what mode have you set it to and how far into the future have you set it to search? Is it far enough that the event is in range? Do you have any category restrictions in the module? Is the category published and is the event published?
